Summary

In Cog Meet O is designed as a local-first macOS meeting recorder. By default, meeting audio, transcripts, summaries, and configuration files stay on your Mac.

Data The App Handles

The app can handle:

  • microphone audio from your Mac
  • system or meeting audio captured through macOS ScreenCaptureKit
  • meeting recordings
  • transcripts
  • summaries and action-item notes
  • local settings, output folder paths, and acknowledgement timestamps
  • model files downloaded by local AI dependencies
  • optional integration credentials or task data if you configure legacy scripts

Local Storage

Recordings, transcripts, and summaries are stored in the meeting folder you configure in Settings. The default location is under `~/Documents/meetings`.

The app installs its local engine under `~/Library/Application Support/InCogMeetO/Engine`. Local AI dependencies may store model files in their own application-support or cache locations.

If you create a support bundle from Settings, the app stores that bundle under `~/Library/Application Support/InCogMeetO/Support`. Support bundles are intended to contain diagnostics, dependency status, selected settings, license state, a redacted engine configuration, and recent pipeline log lines. They are not intended to include meeting recordings, transcripts, summaries, or license file payloads. Review the bundle before sending it to support.

Network Use

The default recording and transcription path is local. Parakeet transcription runs locally through FluidAudio. Local summary generation, when enabled, is intended to run through a local Qwen model.

The app or its dependencies may use the network to download model files or software dependencies on first use. If you configure optional integrations or legacy scripts, meeting content may be sent to the services you configure. Review those service terms and privacy policies before enabling them.

Purchases and license delivery are handled outside the recording app. The hosted checkout and license service may process customer email, customer name, payment/session identifiers, and license metadata through payment and transactional-email providers. It should not receive meeting recordings, transcripts, summaries, or notes.

Analytics

The current app does not include product analytics, advertising trackers, or crash-reporting SDKs.

Permissions

The app may request macOS Screen Recording permission to capture system audio and Microphone permission to record your side of a meeting. You can change these permissions in macOS System Settings.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for obtaining required recording consent and notice, controlling access to your local files, deciding what to share, and deleting recordings, transcripts, and summaries when they are no longer needed.

Deleting Data

You can delete meeting outputs from the folders shown in the app's Files view. You can also delete the local engine from `~/Library/Application Support/InCogMeetO/Engine`; the app may reinstall it the next time it runs.

Support bundles can be deleted from `~/Library/Application Support/InCogMeetO/Support`.
